Labasa Cane Producers’ Association executes Community Development Projects guided by Fairtrade principles, aiming to alleviate poverty and enhance capacity across the Labasa Mill sugar cane belt area. With 680 completed projects, they improve living standards and provide amenities, covering sectors like water supply, education, sanitation, and infrastructure, fostering holistic community development.

Since 2012, the association has supported its members with the Death Benefit program, aiding with funeral expenses during times of bereavement. Administered fairly based on eligibility criteria, this initiative reflects the association's commitment to community welfare, providing essential support during times of hardship.

Fairtrade Germany and Fairtrade Australia New Zealand provided TC Yasa Relief for Food Security by distributing vegetable seed packs through Labasa Cane Producers’ Association to all sugarcane farmers and workers. This aid supported farmers in growing fresh vegetables for family consumption, easing food provision during harvesting season. Additionally, the association emphasizes best labor practices and soil health.
